TRACK RULES: It is the intent and goal of D.V.R. Management to promote fairness in competition that results in fan appreciation and a strong race program. All participants and quests at D.V.R. are expected and required to adhere to all D.V.R. rules and regulations at DVR.

Interpretation and application of the D.V.R. rules set by D.V.R. management shall be final and non-appeal able.

RACING is an inherently dangerous sport. Each individual assumes the risk when he or she participates in an event. While everyone involved, vehicle owners, drivers, mechanics, crews, officials ECT, can and have taken every possible measure to reduce the risk of serious injury. The risk cannot be eliminated and in fact, will always be present at a high level. Each race vehicle that enters a racing event at D.V.R. is subject to a pre race safety inspection by D.V.R. officials. Adherence to the safety rules, workmanship and appearance shall determine whether D.V.R. officials shall allow that vehicle to enter competition for each individual racing event. Any severely damaged race vehicles and or rolled vehicles is subject to D.V.R. officials inspection before being able to re-enter a event

CONDUCT:No alcoholic or controlled substances shall be allowed in the pit area during any event.  No one shall at anytime during his or her presents in the D.V.R. pits,  be under the influence of alcoholic beverages and or controlled substances. Anyone found to be in direct violation of this rule will be subject to immediate suspension for the remaining of the season. Each driver assumes responsibility of its crewmembers, family and visitors. D.V.R. officials reserve the right under D.V.R. management to deny entrance to any member or spectator into the pit area if it is deemed that any person is intoxicated or acting irrationally. Their decision is FINAL. Any person found to be involved with a purchase or sale of any type of drug within the D.V.R. property shall be reported to the local police department and barred from admittance to D.V.R. for an indefinite period of time. The use of profanity or profane gestures at anytime towards any person or officials shall not be permitted. Violators are subject to fine and or suspension.. FIGHTING will not be tolerated. Fighting is prohibited anywhere on D.V.R. property. NO exceptions. Violators shall be subject to fine, suspension and or expulsion. If a conflict arises in the pit area of a driver at the time he or she is participating in a racing event, he or she MAY be black flagged and required to return to his or her pit to correct the problem. Any and all individuals in the pit area shall at all times follow the requests of any and all D.V.R. officials. Refusal to follow the requests of a D.V.R. official, regardless of the individual’s opinion, may result in fine, suspension or expulsion.

PIT ADMISSION:  The management of D.V.R. and its officials have the right to revoke this authority (Pit Admission) at anytime that it is deemed that a participant or spectators presence or conduct is not in the best interests of the sport, fellow competitors, spectators, officials, employees and or management. Unauthorized presence at D.V.R. is considered trespassing and violators are subject to the penalties prescribed by law. Any and all participants, pit crews and quests to the pit area are required to fill out any and all appropriate forms and waivers and pay all required fees including any possible unpaid fines, BEFORE entering the pit area. All participants must sign for themselves ONLY. All pit area participants shall be required to obtain a valid wristband in order to access the pit area. The wristband shall be placed on the wrist snugly in order to disallow removal of the wristband. Any and all persons not in possession of a valid wristband shall be escorted out of the pits. NO ONE UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE IS ALLOWED IN THE PITS!!!! Any driver failing to fill out any and all appropriate forms and waivers and pay all required fee's including any possible unpaid fines shall forfeit any and all points and prize money for that event and maybe subject to a fine and or suspension. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any attempt to circumvent any aspect of pit registration as listed is subject to fine, suspension and or expulsion.  Once a person has paid entry into and has entered the pit area, there shall be NO PIT REFUNDS MADE. No exceptions!

Any check written to D.V.R. and returned by the bank due to insufficient funds shall pay with cash only plus a $25.00 bank service charge. Check writing privileges shall be suspended from that point forward. Minors 16 and under shall be prepared to complete and sign a minors release form. Due to the always-present danger on the racetrack and infield. No individual, including car owners, pt crews, support persons or spectators shall be allowed on the racetrack at anytime. All violators shall be subject to expulsion, fine and or suspension.

THE PIT SPEED LIMIT Speed in the pit area and or in the hot pit area is 5MPH at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS! Anyone that drives through the pit areas in any hazardous manner including speed will be subject to fine and or suspension

RACE PROCEDURES: All decisions by DVR officials involving race procedures are final and non-appeal able. All racecars should be on the racetrack and ready to race when the pace laps start. Under NO circumstances is any racecar that was not in line up allowed to go on the track and enter a race after the waving of the initial green.    RESTART: When the race is stopped before the completion of one lap, there will be a complete restart in the original starting positions.

YELLOWS: WE DO NOT RACE UNDER YELLOW!! Racecars will line up in single file according to the finishing order in the final lap completed prior to the yellow.

RED FLAG: No racecar movement is allowed during a red flag condition UNLESS requested by a D.V.R. official or a fire. Restart procedures begin when condition is returned to yellow flag.

BLACK FLAG:  when a black flag is thrown, laps for that driver will cease to be counted. If the black flag is ignored, a yellow will be thrown and the driver will be directed off the track. Penalties for violating of a black flag shall include, NO RACING the remainder of that night. Loss of points for that event, and or possible fine or suspension.
Drivers are not allowed to stop their race vehicles on the track at anytime to protest his or hers position or any other aspect of officiating. The immediate penalty will be placement of that driver and his or her vehicle to the rear of the lineup. This is NON APPEAL ABLE. Abandonment of a race vehicle on the racetrack or track infield will result in forfeiture of all points made during that event and subject to fine and or suspension.

POST MAIN EVENT INSPECTIONS:  I.M.C.A. modified’s must comply with all I.M.C.A. modified rules and regulations per I.M.C.A. All non-sanctioned divisions are required to have the top 3 cars go DIRECTLY to tech area when leaving the racetrack. Failure to go directly to tech area is an automatic disqualification. Only driver and one crewmember are allowed in tech area with their racecar.  If D.V.R. officials determines after the main event that a vehicle in tech does not meet applicable specifications, then officials has the right to impose a penalty which may result in disqualification and loss of that events points and prize money.

APPEALS / PROTEST: Any appeals and or protests must be made by the driver ONLY and in writing ONLY and must be submitted to a D.V.R. official within 20 minutes after the checker flag was waved, completing that event. D.V.R. officials will forward the appeal or protest to management who shall decide whether the matter at hand is appeal able or protest able. A $200.00 protest fee shall accompany each separate protest. Management’s decision on a protest is FINAL and non-appeal able. D.V.R. management may take action if protest is deemed appropriate to further the interest of fairness in competition results. Such actions include, revising official race results, imposing penalties, disqualifications and or fines. Subjects for appeals include, scoring decisions and race procedures. Subject for Protests include, but are not limited to inspections decisions.
